BAG SEARCH + ENTERING THE FESTIVAL

Want to get into ACL Fest as quick as possible? Leave your bag AND liquids at home!

If you DO NOT have a bag, please enter through the No Bag Express Lane. If you DO have a bag, please enter through the Bag Lane and expect delays as bags are open for inspection. ALL bags will be searched before entry. Bags will be restricted to small purses, totes and drawstring bags only. Bag size may not exceed 14” x 11” x 5” (35cm x 28cm x 12cm), or 30 linear inches (75cm) in total, and must have no more than one singular pocket or opening. Backpacks and bags with multiple pockets are prohibited. Hydration packs are allowed but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir.

Please check the list of prohibited items in advance, listen for the audio announcements and dispose of any item that is not allowed inside the festival. Whenever possible, patrons should avoid arriving during peak hours from 3-5pm to ensure the quickest entry into the park.

Do not leave your items unattended. Lockers are available for rent near the Barton Springs festival entrances. Please have your wristbands securely fastened on your right wrist and visible to security as you enter the festival grounds.

Families can expedite entry into the festival using our Family Friendly Entrance to the right of the Barton Springs East Entrance, or the dedicated Family Friendly Lanes at all three of the Main Entrances. Each entrance also has dedicated Accessibility Lanes. For more on ADA Accommodations, check out our Information page.

PRO-TIP: Stay hydrated! Bring water to drink while you wait in line, then finish or empty it prior to going through security.

PARTY RESPONSIBLY

Your safety is our top priority. Here are some helpful tips on how to prepare for the fest:

  • Remember to stay hydrated. Bring empty water bottles (plastic or aluminum) to fill once inside the park at our CamelBak Hydration Stations. And don’t forget to eat regularly at ACL Eats or an ACL Bodega.
  • Have emergency contact info on your person and your phone lock screen in case emergency personnel need to know (PRO-TIP: Make sure to register your wristband where you will be asked to fill out an emergency contact).
  • Protect yourself from the sun – take breaks and find shade. Sunscreen lotion, hats, and sunglasses are key. Forget your sunscreen? Head to an ACL Bodega to purchase some.
  • Bring hearing protection – we get loud (PRO-TIP: If you forget your ear plugs, stop by an information booth to grab a pair).
  • Keep yourself and your belongings safe – be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your personal items at all times. If you find something OR lose something, head to a Guest Services Tent for our Lost & Found. If you get lost or separated from your group, designate Guest Services as your meeting place! Keep your cell phone and wallet close – the Austin Police Department will be on the lookout for theft.
  • Bring a list of allergies and medications you take in case of medical emergency.
  • Dress for the weather – we’re constantly monitoring the weather. Keep an eye on the radar before heading to Zilker Park so you can dress accordingly (rain boots, ponchos, etc). Forget your poncho? Head to a ACL Bodega to purchase one.
  • ACL Fest wants every fan to feel safe at the fest. There is a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Please let our staff know if you feel harassed or threatened in any way. You can also visit SAFE Alliance in ACL Cares or a Medical Tent for resources and information. NO always means NO. Check out our Safety page for more information.

ACL BODEGAS

The ACL Bodega is a one-stop shop where you can buy quick snacks, like fresh fruit, and festival survival necessities, like sunscreen and ponchos. Stop by the Bodega near ACL Eats and the ACL Wine Lounge.

BARTON SPRINGS BEER HALL

Stay on top of your game! Don’t miss out on the Barton Springs Beer Hall, where you can choose from different craft brews and catch the weekend’s biggest MLB, NFL and College Football games on the jumbo screen in between sets.

RENT A LOCKER

Do you want a safe and secure place to store your things while you enjoy ACL Fest and keep your phone charged? We offer 3-Day, 2-Day and 1-Day rental lockers available near the Barton Springs festival entrances so you can free up your hands and avoid losing any personal items during the show.
