Wristband activation ensures a smooth process when entering the festival each day and makes sure that your investment remains yours. When you activate your wristband, use any major credit or debit card to sign up for ACL Cashless, presented by American Express. ACL Cashless allows you to pay for drinks, food, merch, art, lockers and more with the tap of a wrist when you’re at the Festival.

Want to get into ACL Fest as quick as possible? Leave your bag at home! If you DO NOT have a bag, please enter through the No Bag Express Lane. If you DO have a bag, please enter through the Bag Lane and expect delays as bags are open for inspection. ALL bags will be searched before entry. For your safety, bag sizes will be limited to 18 L sized bags or smaller (roughly 1000 cubic inches or 10” x 10” x 10”). If you have to bring a bag, drawstring bags are ideal. Please check the list of prohibited items in advance, listen for the audio announcements and dispose of any item that is not allowed inside the festival.

Do not leave your items unattended. Lockers are available for rent in the south end of the park, between the Barton Springs West and Barton Springs East entrances. Please have your wristbands securely fastened on your right wrist and visible to security as you enter the festival grounds.

Families can expedite entry into the festival using our Family Friendly Entrance to the right of the Barton Springs East Entrance, or the dedicated Family Friendly Lanes at all three of the Main Entrances. Each entrance also has dedicated Accessibility Lanes. For more on ADA Accommodations, check out our Information page.

Whenever possible, patrons should avoid arriving during peak hours from 3-5pm to ensure the quickest entry into the park.

Your safety is our top priority. Here are some helpful tips on how to prepare for the fest:

  • Have Emergency Contact info on your person and your phone lock screen in case emergency personnel need to know (PRO-TIP: Make sure to register your wristband where you will be asked to fill out an Emergency Contact).
  • Remember to stay hydrated (visit our CamelBak Hydration Stations for free, cool, filtered water) and eat regularly at ACL Eats or an ACL Bodega.
  • Protect yourself from the sun – take breaks and find shade. Sunscreen lotion, hats, and sunglasses are key. Forget your sunscreen? Head to an ACL Bodega to purchase some.
  • Bring hearing protection – we get loud (PRO-TIP: If you forget your ear plugs, stop by an information booth to grab a pair).
  • Keep yourself and your belongings safe – be aware of your surroundings and keep an eye on your personal items at all times. If you find something OR lose something, head to an information tent for our Lost & Found. Keep your cell phone and wallet close – the Austin Police Department will be on the lookout for cell phone theft.
  • Bring a list of allergies and medications you take in case of medical emergency.
  • Dress for the weather – we’re constantly monitoring the weather. Keep an eye on the radar before heading to Zilker Park so you can dress accordingly (rain boots, ponchos, etc). Forget your poncho? Head to a ACL Bodega to purchase one.

Forget something at home? Looking for a place to fill up your water bottle? Need a place to chill out in between sets? There are tons of activities and fun things going on all around the park for you to take advantage of while you’re at the fest. Here are some tips:

The ACL Bodega is a one-stop shop where you can buy quick snacks, like fresh fruit, and festival survival necessities, like sunscreen and ponchos. Stop by the Bodega near ACL Eats and the Art Market.

Don’t let dehydration get the best of you. Make CamelBak Filling Stations a regular stop; you can bring two of your own factory-sealed bottles of water. And don’t forget the sunscreen (just not the aerosol kind)!

Stay on top of your game! Don’t miss out on the Barton Springs Beer Hall, where you can choose from different craft brews and catch the weekend’s biggest NCAA and NFL games on the jumbo screen in between sets.

Do you want a safe and secure place to store your things while you enjoy ACL Fest and keep your phone charged? We offer 3-Day and 1-Day rental lockers available near the Barton Springs entrance so you can free up your hands and avoid losing any personal items during the show. Click here to reserve your locker in advance.

Bringing a chair with you too? No problem, complimentary chair check will be available near the lockers until 8:30PM each night! Speaking of which, as you explore different parts of the park, please be mindful of the No Chair Zones. Help us help YOU enjoy more of the show by keeping these pathways and areas free of obstacles.

Central Market will also have a booth inside Austin Kiddie Limits offering box lunches and beverages.

ACL Festival has partnered Austin Disaster Relief Network (ADRN) to bring attendees a quick and easy way to donate to Harvey Relief while at the festival.

ADRN, a tax-exempt charity, is comprised of over 175 greater Austin churches and thousands of trained volunteers working together to prepare and respond quickly to disasters, large or small. Since 2009, ADRN has brought emotional, physical and spiritual relief to more than 38,000 survivors assisted, sponsored more than 2,700 families and given more than $5.4 million in disaster relief funds.

We’re making it easier for you to get in faster. New this year, we’re adding a third entrance to the fest. Choose from three convenient entrances: the Barton Springs East Entrance, the Barton Springs West Entrance, and the Lady Bird Lake Entrance. With more gates to choose from, getting to the music will be easier than ever.

We’re also opening up a brand new Box Office to make it easier for you to pick up your wristbands. Head to the East Box Office if you’re coming from Lamar Blvd, or check out the West Box Office if you’re coming from Mopac or getting dropped of from one of our free Official Festival Shuttles.

2 Weekends, 8 Stages, 140+ Artists, and better sound. You spoke, and we listened. With the expanded festival area, stages are being shifted to improve crowd flow and avoid sound bleed between performances. Check out this map to see the new stage locations and get ready to plan out your festival.

This year you will have even more places to relax in the shade and enjoy the fest. Wine lovers will rejoice in the new ACL Wine Lounge where you can enjoy an expanded selection of wines from around the world; reds, whites, rosés and bubbles will be flowing all weekend. This beautifully shaded haven will be the perfect place to relax in between sets, chill with a nice bottle of wine or a glass of cold bubbles and nibble on a delicious bite.

For those looking to dance the night away, a new Silent Disco powered by Quiet Events has been added to the schedule for both weekends. Each night from 8pm-10pm at the Tito’s Handmade Vodka Stage, fans can slip on a pair of ACL Fest-supplied headphones and quietly groove to tunes from live DJs.

The mega-sized ACL Festival Store is back and bigger than ever! Shop in air-conditioned style in our new location south of Barton Springs Road, conveniently next to the Barton Springs East gate. In our quest to provide merchandise that’s a notch-above standard concert-wear, we collaborated with Howler Bros, Camp Collection, Aviator Nation, CamelBak, ENO and YETI on a range of fun, functional and fashion-forward items. The full line of Festival goods will also be available at our Satellite Store on the north side of the park near the American Express stage.

For those who like to plan ahead, we’re offering a brand-new Merch Pick-up service! Beginning Sept. 26, you can pre-purchase our top-selling items online and pick them up at the Festival. Visit for details.

Kids 10 and under are welcome to attend ACL Fest for free with a ticketed adult (limit 2 children per ticketed adult), and can enjoy their very own lineup of music and activities at Austin Kiddie Limits presented by Lifeway. With new extended hours from 11am–7pm each day, kids can enjoy activities like hip-hop workshops, dance parties, ping-pong, punk hairdos, temporary airbrush tattoos, souvenir photos in the HomeAway Photo Booth and more.

Once you’re in the park visit the Tag-a-Kid kiosk at the new Family Friendly Entrance on Barton Springs Road (entrance closes at 7pm daily) or Info Tent where parents can register their kids with the festival and receive an RFID wristband. In the event that a child gets lost, we have a reliable and fast way to reunite them with their parent.
