  8. Children at ACL Festival

Coming to the festival with kids in tow? ACL Festival invites music fans of all ages, including kids! Austin Kiddie Limits runs parallel to ACL Festival in its own securely designated area at Zilker Park. Austin Kiddie Limits opens at 11 AM and closes at 7 PM each day of the festival, and creates an environment for parents and children to enjoy family-friendly music on the Austin Kiddie Limits stage. While you’re listening, feel free to make some arts & crafts to remember sharing these memories with your kids!

New this year, we have a dedicated Family Friendly Entrance on Barton Springs (closes at 7pm daily). There will also be stroller-friendly lanes at both main entrances.

Take advantage of our free Tag-a-Kid service. Stop by the Tag-a-Kid kiosk at the Family Friendly Entrance or at an Info Tent, where parents can register their kids with the festival and receive an RFID wristband. In the event that a child is separated from their parent, we have a reliable and fast way to reunite them.

Children 10 years-old and younger will be admitted free of charge with a ticket-holding adult. Limit 2 children per ticketed adult.

  9. Sustainability

The Austin City Limits Music Festival strives to mitigate its impact on the environment. We take a considerable amount of pride in the efforts of our fans in maintaining the integrity of Zilker Park over the course of the weekend. Partner with us to reduce the festival’s impact on the environment by participating in recycling initiatives such as Rock and Recycle, refilling your water bottles, and supporting the wonderful causes you’ll discover at the festival.

ACL Music Festival will also feature iconic Don’t Mess With Texas trashcans to collect waste not suitable for recycling or composting such as candy or snack wrappers and cigarette butts.

If you plan on leaving your bicycle at the bike racks at each of the festival entrance gates, don’t forget to bring your own lock! Please be aware that all bikes left locked in the designated bike racks after 11PM on Sunday risk being impounded.

Austin B-cycle is the quickest and easiest way to get to the fest. Grab a b-cycle from one of their 50 stations around central Austin and ride to the Austin B-cycle Station located just south of the Barton Springs Entrance! They’ll have a Zilker B-station valet up and running to make sure you always have a place to dock the bike.

Our friends at Mellow Johnny’s will be stationed just outside the Barton Springs Entrance by the Box Office to help with any small issues you may have encountered on your way to the fest. Stop by for minor repairs and supplies you may have forgotten!

    • Walking to Zilker
    • Take the hike and bike trail for a quick walk downtown. Extra lighting is provided for your safety. If using the trail, be mindful of the burn-ban and responsibly discard cigarette butts.

This is the only official drop off point. It’s quick and easy. For safety reasons, please don’t attempt to drop off passengers at other areas near the park.

Note: There is no official festival parking at Austin High School or on Stephen F. Austin Drive. It is a short walk across the footbridge to the festival portal at the Town Lake Entrance. 9. There's a Good Deal On Craigslist, Should I Take It?

Every year thousands of our loving fans think that buying a wristband via Craigslist, eBay, StubHub, VividSeats or any broker site will save them some cash and allow them to access the festival. Unfortunately, many of these are either already used or are counterfeits.

If you want 100% confidence in your ticket purchase, you should only purchase your tickets at aclfestival.com or frontgatetickets.com every single time. Also, in the event of a festival cancellation, your tickets will only be refunded when purchased through aclfestival.com or frontgatetickets.com.

Often times people will try to sell their wristbands to others if they cannot attend a certain day. Unfortunately, the removing of a wristband automatically voids it. Our security takes great pain in checking every wristband to assure it has not been removed and replaced. You will be caught and you will be escorted directly from the festival grounds.

  3. What is the Difference Between the "E-list" and "MyFest"?
  4. How Do I Sign In To MyFest?
  5. What All Can I "Add" to MyFest?
  6. What is the Music Player?
  7. I Don't Want My Information Public. What Can I Do?
  8. I Have a Question That Wasn't Answered Here. What Now?
  9. Where Can I Find Legal and Privacy Info?
  1. What is MyFest?

Creating a MyFest account today gives you access to the festival all at your fingertips. You can prepare for your time at the festival by creating a customized schedule based on the artists you want to see, and share with your friends so you can plan beforehand together.

  2. What Happens if I Don't Create a MyFest Account?

Basically, you can continue to use the entire site, listen to the music player, learn about bands, see when they are playing, participate in contests and all that jazz without ever interacting with MyFest. But you’d be missing out (and who wants to do that?). Signing up for MyFest lets you customize and compare your ideal festival weekend and keeps you up-to-date with what’s happening around Zilker Park during the weekend. Signing up for MyFest does not sign you up for our e-mail list.

And no, signing up for MyFest doesn’t mean we’ll bug you with unwanted updates. You’re in control and you can customize as much as you want to.

  3. What is the Difference Between the "E-list" and "MyFest"?

MyFest is how you customize your entire ACL Festival experience. It is how you create a Custom Schedule, Custom Lineup and Custom Festival. Anything you add will be added to your customized MyFest on aclfestival.com.

To stay even more connected to what’s happening with ACL Festival, sign up for our E-list to receive email updates directly to your e-mail inbox about:

    • Official Late Night Shows
    • Artist giveaways
    • Super-special deals
    • Updates on future festival tickets to get a head start!
  4. How Do I Sign In To MyFest?

You can access MyFest by clicking on the horizontal green bar on the top of each page.* Simply click on your picture, if you’ve already logged in. If this is your first time logging in, click on the silhouette image in the circle at the top of the side bar to get going on MyFest.

This bar lives on every page and will keep you signed in once you log in. So you can go explore artists and craft your schedule, and always have access to your MyFest from every page.

*If you’re planning your festival from your mobile device, the MyFest access bar will be at the top of every page.

  5. What All Can I "Add" to MyFest?

Anything that has a “+” or “+ ADD” button. This can include, but not limited to:

    • Bands on the Lineup Page
    • Individual Artist Pages
    • Set Times from the Schedule Page

Keep an eye out for the “+” or “+ ADD” and make sure to click that button. Once you add something to MyFest, you will see the green bar on the left light up. This means your time has successfully been added to your MyFest so that you can stay updated with special notifications.

You can always remove something from MyFest as quickly as you can add it. Just look out for the “-“ or “- REMOVE” button.

  6. What is the Music Player?

The music player is a collection of Soundcloud tracks from artists appearing at ACL Festival. It will stream continuously as you navigate throughout different pages of the website. You can activate the player without being signed into MyFest, either by clicking the play button on the left side of this page, on the Lineup or Schedule Page or any Band’s Page.

We chose Soundcloud to source all music tracks so that the artists could decide what music they wanted to share and so you wouldn’t have to create any other accounts to listen to it. As more artists add tracks to Soundcloud, we’ll add them to aclfestival.com.

  7. I Don't Want My Information Public. What Can I Do?

Head to the MyFest Account Page (located in the bottom-right of the footer) and click the “Make Your Festival Private…” button.

  8. I Have a Question That Wasn't Answered Here. What Now?

No problem, contact us at info@aclfestival.com and we’ll help you out!

  9. Where Can I Find Legal and Privacy Info?

You can find that info at our Legal & Privacy Page or our Terms & Conditions Page.

  12. If I am on the Will Call or Guest List and pick up my ticket at the Box Office, can I activate my wristband and sign up for ACL Cashless?
  13. I Have a Question About Wristband Activation Not Answered Here. Who Can I Contact?
  1. How Does ACL Cashless Work?

It’s easy! Simply follow these three easy steps:

    1. Activate your festival ticket with the unique ID (located on the inside of your wristband) during which time you can link your credit card to your wristband and set a required PIN for security. Now you’re registered for ACL Cashless too!

    2. Next, order at any bar location and select vendors, and let them know you are paying with your wristband.

    3. Then tap your wristband, add a tip amount, enter your PIN, and then you’re done!

  2. What Are the ACL Cashless Benefits?
    • Save time and easy to use!
    • No need to carry cash or a credit card.
    • Accepted at all bars, food vendors, art market vendors, and festival merchandise tents.
  3. In Order to Activate My Wristband, Do I Have to Sign Up for ACL Cashless?

No. While we certainly think ACL Cashless the best payment option, you can activate your wristband without enabling the ACL Cashless payment option.

  4. I Already Activated My Wristband, But Missed ACL Cashless

Don’t stress! Visit the Wristband Activation tent just inside the Barton Springs festival entrance, and our staff can help you add ACL Cashless and set your PIN right there!

For more immediate assistance before the festival, please contact our ticket service provider, Front Gate Tickets, or by calling their friendly support team at 888.512.SHOW (7469) Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.

  5. Are There Any Additional Fees for Using My ACL Cashless Wristband?

Nope! It is free to sign up and free to use!

  6. Is My Credit Card Information Stored on my Wristband?

No. We do not store any financial data on the wristband. The PIN you choose during ACL Cashless registration will always be required to make a purchase. But your card number and billing details are not stored on the wristband. So don’t worry about someone snagging your info.

  7. Is ACL Cashless Secure?

Yes! It works in conjunction with your credit card so it carries all the same security features and protection. You will also set a PIN during registration (just like a debit card), so no one else will be able to use your wristband or your ACL Cashless Account without your PIN.

  8. Can I Link the Same Card to Multiple Wristbands?

Yes. If you wish to allow your card to be linked to multiple wristbands, you certainly can. Each wristband will require a separate PIN. The PIN must be entered when using the wristband to purchase anything participating in the ACL Cashless program at the festival.

  9. Can I Link Multiple Credit or Debit Cards to My Wristband?

No. You will only be able to link a single credit or debit card to your wristband.

  10. Will My Wristband Run Out of Money?

Not unless the card you linked it to does. No funds are stored on the wristband. It’s just linked to your credit or debit card. As long as you can still use your card, you will still be able to use your ACL Cashless wristband.

  11. What Happens if My Wristband is Damaged?

First, don’t panic. We can help! Come to either Ticket Help booths (located at each entrance) or the ACL Festival Box Office and we will be able to help replace the wristband if you activated it. You will have to re-link your credit card for security purposes. Then you will be back in action!

  12. If I am on the Will Call or Guest List and pick up my ticket at the Box Office, can I activate my wristband and sign up for ACL Cashless?

Yes! Once you get your wristband(s), just visit aclfestival.com from your smart phone or click the Activation link in the ACL Mobile App, and complete the easy activation steps and optional ACL Cashless add-on right there on the spot with a few clicks!

Visit Ticket Help at each entrance or the Wristband Activation tent just inside the festival for any questions or needed assistance.

  13. I Have a Question About Wristband Activation Not Answered Here. Who Can I Contact?

Please contact our ticket service provider, Front Gate Tickets, or by calling their friendly support team at 888.512.SHOW (7469) Monday – Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.

  5. Sustainability
  1. Get Involved at ACL Fest Through the Love Hope Strength Foundation!

Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL) is committed to supporting organizations dedicated to improving the quality of life for generations to come. For the second year at ACL, the Love Hope Strength Foundation is recruiting Ambassadors to volunteer on its behalf to promote their mission of signing up individuals to become potential marrow donors through their GET ON THE LIST campaign.

Get involved with LHSF at ACL by spending about 4 hours promoting their mission through interacting with fans across the Festival grounds on various teams focused on patron services and eco-initiatives: help fill water bottles, provide answers to questions at information booths, motivate environmentally friendly acts through the Rock & Recycle Program, and more. The LHSF Ambassador teams enhance the Festival experience for all fans while supporting the Love Hope Strength Foundation by helping promote their mission.

For more information on the Love Hope Strength Foundation’s mission and to apply for one of their Ambassador positions, please visit the Love Hope Strength Foundation’s website at www.lovehopestrength.org/aclfestival16.

We hope you will check out their site and apply to join us at ACL to support LHSF’s mission to save lives one concert at a time.

  2. ACL Cares Vendor Application

  4. ACL Art Market Vendor Application

The 2016 Art Market Vendor Application has closed. Please contact vending@aclfestival.com with questions.

The Art Market is your one-stop shop for local, national and world-recognized artisans selling irresistible goods to all ACL fans.

  2. ACL Festival Access Center

Our Access Center is located inside the festival grounds near the Barton Springs entrance. It is clearly marked on the festival map. You can also check out our ADA Map here.

Our Access Center services include, but not limited to:

  3. ADA Wristband Program

Visit the Access Center for information on our wristband program. If you have mobility impairments or are Deaf or Hard of Hearing you can request a specially colored wristband at the Access Center. This wristband is to show our team that you (plus one companion) are eligible to enter the wheelchair platform or the Deaf and Hard of Hearing areas.

Note: the wristband does not guarantee a spot in these areas. Both areas have a limited capacity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The wristband is non-transferable.

  4. Patrons with Mobility Limitations

The Festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, but please be aware that this is a large venue with great distances between stages. Also, it is an outdoor music festival situated in a park. Therefore, most travel is over natural terrain. If it should rain, there will be mud in some places.

We do not provide personal care, golf cart rides, or push service. Please plan ahead and bring attendants if needed. In addition, the festival does not provide wheelchairs for rent or loan. Please make arrangements in advance if a wheelchair is needed.

Wheelchairs, power wheelchairs and three or four-wheeled scooters are allowed for use by Patrons with mobility disabilities. For safety reasons, requests to use other power-driven mobility devices will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Visit the Access Center for a map of the festival grounds with wheelchair platform locations identified. The wheelchair platform areas are reserved at all times for people with mobility impairments plus one companion. Please note that these areas have limited capacity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Accessible portalets are available at the ends of each row of restrooms throughout the park.

  5. American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation Performances

We provide many American Sign Language (ASL) interpreted music performances for patrons who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. Write access@aclfestival.com to request specific shows be interpreted. The deadline to request an interpretation is the second Friday of the month prior to the festival each year. Requests submitted after this date will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Please visit the Access Center for a map of the festival grounds with Deaf/Hard of Hearing areas identified. The designated areas are reserved only for Deaf/Hard of Hearing patrons and one companion. Please note that these areas have limited capacity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For a description of our ASL Access Program in American Sign Language, check out this helpful video.

  6. Special Dietary Needs

Outside food and drink (except for bottled water) is not allowed in the festival, but if a patron has special medical dietary restrictions, items will be allowed if accompanied by a doctor’s note. You will be asked to present your doctor’s note to security upon entry to the festival.

A patron requiring insulin is allowed to bring his or her medically necessary materials and medications provided all medicine has a prescription label with the patron’s name. Out of concern for the festival staff and volunteers who handle the trash, please dispose of your medical waste and syringes in the proper disposal located at the medical tent (see public map for exact location). Please do not dispose of these items in other trash bins at the festival.

  7. Service Animals at Festival

Animals and pets are not allowed within the festival grounds. Service animal inquiries can be sent to access@aclfestival.com.

  8. ADA Parking

There is limited accessible parking available near the festival on a first-come, first-served basis to vehicles displaying a state-issued handicapped plate or placard. The person to whom the placard or plate is issued must be present in the vehicle, as a driver or passenger. As part of gaining access to accessible parking, identifications will be checked to ensure legitimate use of these items.

Take the Rollingwood exit to the North bound access road of Mopac (Loop 1). Follow festival staff and signage to ADA parking near the festival.

Also, we strongly encourage using the festival’s free shuttle buses through Capital Metro, which are equipped with lifts for wheelchairs. Visit www.capmetro.org/accessibility/ to find out more about accessible services from Capital Metro.
