Bio

Andrew Knowlton is the Editor at Large at Bon Appétit where he has worked, like, forever (since 2000 to be exact). He oversaw the magazine's restaurant coverage, including the annual Hot 10 list, and wrote award-winning features such as "24 Hours at the Waffle House," and "Welcome to Hillstone, America's Favorite Restaurant." He is the host of Netflix’s global food competition show, The Final Table, which premiered in November. His 24 Hours At… video series won a James Beard Foundation award in 2017 and 2018. You might have seen him (with or without long hair) on shows like The Next Iron Chef America and Iron Chef America. He is a partner in the Mighty Union, a hotel and restaurant management company which recently opened the Carpenter Hotel in Austin. Future Mighty Union projects include the Veramendi in San Antonio and Wo Fat in Honolulu. He lives in Austin, TX with his wife and two daughters (the oldest is named after a popular Southern cocktail). He likes all Atlanta sports teams, boiled peanuts, the Dead, JAWS, and steel frame bicycles.
