HOSTELS
Hostelling International has a hostel in Austin, just a quick bike ride down the Hike & Bike Trail to Zilker Park. Click here for information on the hostel nearest Zilker Park.
SHUTTLES
There is no parking at Zilker Park for the ACL Festival, so take the free shuttle instead – a short hop to the park! Board at Republic Square at the corner of 4th & Guadalupe streets and you’ll be dropped off at the Festival entrance on Barton Springs Road. When you’re finished rocking, hop back on for a return trip.
The shuttles begin at Republic Square at 10AM and make their final return from the park at 11PM each day of the Festival.
PARKING
There will be parking provided at One Texas Center [map] located at the intersection of Barton Springs Road and South 1st Street. The parking garage at One Texas Center will be FREE Friday, October 12 after 5PM. On Saturday & Sunday, the garage will be open for paid parking at $10 per day.
There will also be parking provided at the Palmer Events Center [map] located at 900 Barton Springs Road, with entrances at Barton Springs Road and Riverside. For general information, please call (512)404-4500.
There is NO parking at the Festival site. Our friends at Capital Metro are providing FREE shuttle service to and from the centrally-located downtown location at Republic Square on 4th and Guadalupe, details above. Click Here for a map & listing of downtown parking garages.
Parking is strongly discouraged in surrounding neighborhoods. Respect the residents of the Zilker Park area! This is their home…not a parking lot, dumping site, or otherwise. In response to safety concerns from area residents, several nearby streets will be closed and parking will be restricted. In addition, the City of Rollingwood will have restricted parking and other traffic control measures in place during the Festival.
OTHER TRANSPORTATION
TAXIS
Taxis will be allowed convenient access to the entrance/exit, and will have a designated area for pick up and drop off.BICYCLES
We encourage all of our fans to use pedal power — by far the easiest way to get to the Festival! Bike racks are available at each of the Festival Entrance gates, with plenty of lighting. You must provide your own lock. If you need parts or repair, stop by the Mellow Johnny’s Bike Station at both entrances for fix-ups, locks, lights, tubes, or any other last minute advice or gear.SCOOTERS & MOTORCYCLES
Scooter & Motorcycle parking is available off Robert E. Lee in the ball field parking lot.PASSENGER DROP OFF
The passenger drop-off area is at the north end of the Mopac (Loop 1) Pedestrian Bridge on Stephen F. Austin Drive next to Austin High School. The pedestrian footbridge runs underneath Mopac. This is the closest drop point to the Festival grounds. It is a short walk across the footbridge. Access the drop off point by entering Stephen F. Austin Drive, near Austin High, from the East. This is the only official drop off point. It’s quick and easy. For safety reasons, please don’t attempt to drop off passengers at other areas near the park.
Note: There is no official festival parking at Austin High School or on Stephen F. Austin Drive. It is a short walk across the footbridge to the festival portal at The Town Lake Entrance. Please note that Stephen F. Austin Drive will be closed to thru-traffic (other than those dropping off festival goers) during the Festival from about 9am to Midnight. Access to Austin High parking lots will be limited to those attending Austin High events. Also, there is NOT pick-up and drop-off being allowed on the Access Road of Mopac and the Barton Springs Road/Robert E. Lee area. Persons may be ticketed.
ROAD CLOSURES
Road closures will begin the Friday before and end the Monday after.
- Barton Springs Road at Robert E. Lee (Barton Springs Pool Parking accessible at Robert E. Lee Entrance)
