Thirty-one-year-old Joe Bonamassa isnt just one of the most lauded young guitarists of his generation; hes one of the celebrated blues artists of the last decade. Recently crowned the New King of the Blues on the cover of Guitarist magazine and named Best Blues Guitarist in Guitar Players 2007 Readers Choice Awards, Bonamassa was born in Utica, New York on Robert Johnsons birthday and was touring with B.B. King by the time he was 12. In the 90s, he was part of the band Bloodline, which featured the sons of music legends Miles Davis, Robby Krieger of the Doors and Berry Oakley of the Allman Brothers Band, but his career really took off with the release of his 2000 solo debut, A New Day Yesterday.
