Kevin Fowler knows what hardcore honky-tonkers love, and summed it up in the title song of his debut album, Beer, Bait and Ammo. The song has not just become a Texas country standard but has also been recorded by George Jones, Mark Chesnutt and Sammy Kershaw. Meanwhile Fowler has gone on to rule the roost on the Lone Star State country circuit with his unabashedly redneck anthems and keen sense of lyrical wit, delivering high-energy music thats country to the core. After making his mark releasing his albums on his own label, Fowler inked a deal with Clint Blacks Equity Records, which most recently issued 2007s Bring It On, the latest blast of 100-proof honky-tonk music from this Amarillo native who now makes his home in the countryside near Austin.
