Move Your Feet

Get your fuel at Once Over coffee, where they make every cup with a french press. Also, add some 100% authentic breakfast tacos from La Mexicana Bakery to your morning, which is just a quick walk away.

Go Vinyl

To comb the record shop for new releases, head over to End of An Ear. Need some throwback vinyl? Check out Friends of Sound on Congress.

HINT: Their front door is in the back alley.

Wander About

Walk over to Hopdoddy for an excellent burger (or veggie burger). Afterwards, walk off your lunch with a romp through Butler Park and the Lamar Pedestrian Bridge, a great spot for a photo with Lady Bird Lake in the background.

Audible Munchies

For an evening bite, Swift’s Attic is a new gastropub on Congress located above Elephant Room, Austin’s longest running Jazz club. Don’t be surprised if you’re dining along to some hip-hop or metal at Swift’s. Try the squid fries.

Hit The Stage

Keep the night hummin’ at Shangri La with a cold beverage. Their jukebox has everything, whether you want to thrash or chill. When it’s time for live music, Stubb’s and Cheer Up Charlie’s on Red River or Emo’s on Riverside host a lot of touring shows.

Stay Out Late

More live music? Hotel Vegas is a fun eastside venue with great rock lineups. Afterwards, grab a bite in the wee hours at the Kebabalicious trailer (open until 3AM), or East Side King at Liberty, where Top Chef Paul Qui started serving up his signature bites to the city. Have fun!
