ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND
Families help fight childhood cancers through Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Stop by and make a donation for a nice cold cup of lemonade.
A charity effort that started in the early years of the Austin City Limits Festival is still going strong and fighting cancer “one cup at a time”. Alex’s Lemonade Stand greets music fans in the Austin Kiddie Limits area with ice cold lemonade sold for a higher purpose. Austin families were touched by the story of the young Pennsylvania girl who started her own lemonade stands in 2000 to fund research for her own cancer. Although Alex died from the disease, her legacy lives on in lemonade stands all over the country, including right here at ACL Fest. All money raised goes to her charity, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, which funds research for childhood cancer. The Austin Kiddie Limits lemonade stand has donated tens of thousands of dollars to the cause. Thanks for your help!
CAFE MONET - ROCKN' MAGNETS
The place to sit down, relax and paint your own Rockn’ Ceramic Magnet with Café Monet – Paint Your Own Pottery and Mosaic Studio. Cafe Monet is an Austin hotspot and creative outlet for 13 years now. We are a locally owned Paint Your Own Pottery, Mosaic and Fused Glass Art Studio and we are excited to participate in our 5th AKL. We look forward to meeting new friends and seeing familiar faces. Stop by, take a rest and bring your kids to paint a special keepsake from the weekend and while your in town, visit us at any of our three locations, too.
Mike and his friends in the Drum Zone will provide fun interactive musical activities that involve drumming all day long! We’ll play some rhythm games, have lots of fun playing all kinds of percussion instruments, and parents and kids will all get to rock out together to make high energy drum beats. We’ll be available all day to answer questions and engage the kids in the wonderful world of rhythm and songs!

Their work-in-progress A Q Brothers’ Christmas Carol received its initial run at Chicago Shakespeare Theater in winter 2013 and will have its official premiere there in winter 2014. Their Off Broadway smash hit The Bomb-itty of Errors, which they co-created and starred in, has toured around the world and is published with Sam French.
