Bio

Brooklyn-based Tim and the Space Cadets write songs about the important things in life: pizza parties, snow days, and summer vacations. But don’t be surprised if they catch you off guard with a sweet song about love and loss, the bitter-sweetness of a summer come and gone. Songwriters Tim Kubart and Matt Puckett weave their own childhood memories through textured pop tunes, rockers, and lullabies, with lyrics that bridge the gap between innocence and wisdom in a way for listeners of all ages to appreciate and understand.

Their new album Anthems for Adventure, aims to inspire everyone to turn off their TV’s and computers, and get outside and play. It celebrates adventures as grand as riding a cardboard rocketship to the moon and as small as giving up an old pair of sneakers for new ones. A Space Cadets set is interactive and gives a true indie rock experience for families and fans, full of strong musicianship, and a tap dancing sidekick.
Mother Falcon is an orchestral indie band born in Austin, Texas. Composing as a collective, the 18 piece ensemble includes several multi-instrumentalists and most of the players contribute vocals.

Mother Falcon's first full length, Alhambra, was released in February 2011 and gained immediate raves and heavy spins on the influential public radio station KUT, charted in the top ten on several college stations and hi #61 on the CMJ chart.

As one of the top live acts in Austin, Mother Falcon has headlined and sold out major clubs such as Antone's, The Mohawk and The Parish.

Currently at work on their second album as well as the score for the indie documentary Star Nation, about the international spectator sport culture surrounding the video game Starcraft. The band has also recently finished conducting its second annual Music Laboratory, a summer camp for middle and high school orchestra students.
