ACL Cares: Go Green and Give Back

No one can deny that the star-studded roster of musical talent is the best part of the ACL Festival, but we’re just as excited to give fans a multi-pronged experience that spans philanthropic and earth-friendly initiatives too. From the SIMS Foundation to The Nature Conservancy, be sure to check out the numerous organizations we’ll have on hand in ACL Cares. Visit these important causes and to figure out how you can get involved and do your part to give back to the community. But that’s not the only spot to give back at ACL. Conscious Alliance will be posted up across the street from the Barton Springs entrance exchanging canned goods for a piece of Austin-centric artwork. Bring 10 nonperishable food items to the donation drop-off before you enter the Festival, and you’ll receive a colorful poster to add to your collection (while supplies last). Better yet, ACL Festival’s favorite grocery store, H-E-B, will be matching your donation! All food collected will be distributed by the Capital Area Food Bank to benefit our Central Texas neighbors. We’re also thrilled to announce a unique partnership with Solar Community this year. They will be providing solar power for the information booth and select site enhancements, so stop by to see how Community Solar is greening our city and powering the Festival with the sun! And as always, we ask that you help us keep this local Austin landmark clean and beautiful by using the correct bins when discarding your waste (recycling, compost, trash). See you out there!
