“A little rain never hurt anybody.”
That was the motto for the tens of thousands of people who made it out to Zilker Park yesterday for day two of the 2009 Austin City Limits Music Festival. While Friday was a day of sunshine and cool breezes, Saturday beckoned the Woodstock gods for day of music in the rain. The Rock Island Hideaway (aptly named) catered to the football fans. Eek-A-Mouse and Devotchka stayed dry with sets under the Wildflower Center tent, while bands like !!!, Grizzly Bear, Mos Def and the Decemberists played wet and wild shows to thousands of fans dancing in the rain that fell over the park. By the time The Dave Matthews Band and Ghostland Observatory took the stage, the skies had cleared once again, making the end of day two one for the books.
